Policies
Ebb & Flow Massage strives to keep its clients informed to ensure that all are treated equally.
Massage Guidelines and Expectations:
Clients have the responsibility to communicate their preferences, expectations, and concerns. Clients have the right to a clean, safe, and comfortable environment and are treated with consideration, dignity and respect. Clients also have the right to stop a treatment at any time, for any reason.
For the health and safety of both the client and massage therapist we please ask that you arrive to your appointment in a clean hygienic way.
Any client with a contagious condition including common cold, influenza, stomach flu, coronavirus, meningitis, shingles, contagious skin conditions, etc. must not come into the office, but call to inform the therapist before scheduled appointment time. Clients may reschedule their appointment after the contagious condition has resolved.
Dawn Peterson is a licensed massage therapist (LMT) who follows a strict code of ethics. Massage therapy can provide the benefits of enhanced relaxation, stress reduction, reduced pain from muscular tension and spasm, improved circulation and increased range of motion. Massage therapy involves the use of touch, and may at times include the use of oils, lotions, or creams.
I understand that massage therapists are not licensed to practice medicine and therefore do not diagnose illness or disease; perform spinal manipulations; or prescribe medical treatments. I am aware that massage therapy is not a substitute for medical treatment, medication or diagnosis for any health condition I may have. It is recommended that I pursue appropriate health management for conditions I may have.
Due to certain contraindications and cautions for massage, the practitioner must be made aware of existing physical and mental conditions. I have informed the massage therapist of all my known physical and medical conditions, and medications. I understand that it is my responsibility to keep the massage therapist updated on any changes in my health status and agree to do so each time I receive massage.
Client privacy and confidentiality will be maintained at all times.
